I've been in recovery since December 23rd, 2019. I work as a peer recovery support specialist for Aetna Better Health of Oklahoma.
My time living at The Chosen House was a blessing.
There, I learned to lean more into God's understanding than my own and surrender my self-will and selfishness. Mari and Kim didn't give me the answers, but they gave me the questions that helped me to think like a grown woman.
I am who I am, and I am enough.
The Chosen house assured me that God made me, and He makes no mistakes. I am who I am, and I am enough. No longer did I need external validation from people, things, or substances. With that insight, I now live an authentic lifestyle free from spiritual bondage. Freedom has brought me the most wonderful joys, being in my children's lives and being married to my sweetheart.
